Homeownership, Military Service, and the Importance of VA Mortgages

In this Data Talk, researchers will present demographics of homeownership, comparing US military veterans with nonveterans. They will also explore the use of Veterans Affairs (VA) mortgages, assess who uses the VA mortgage program, examining service members’ home loan choices by credit score and differences in median loan amounts, as well as short-run delinquency outcomes for service members compared with non–service members.
