Carol Lamberg will launch her new book, Neighborhood Success Stories: Creating and Sustaining Affordable Housing in New York. A long-time leader of New York City’s affordable housing movement, Lamberg was executive director from 1983 until 2014 of the Settlement Housing Fund, one of the city’s largest and most innovative sponsors of affordable housing. Part memoir, part policy analysis, Neighborhood Success Stories distills key lessons for building and managing affordable housing. Lamberg will reflect on the social purpose, vision, and practical challenges of the projects she’s been involved in, while vividly capturing the life and times of those who engaged in the creation and maintenance of housing and those who have benefited from it.
