Rental Deserts, Zoning, And Segregation: Evidence From The 100 Largest Metro Areas

In this webinar, Magda Maaoui, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Joint Center for Housing Studies, will report on research she is doing with Whitney Airgood-Obrycki and Sophia Wedeen to examine whether the uneven geography of rental housing bolsters patterns of socioeconomic and racial segregation in the nation’s largest metro areas. She will also discuss policies that might produce more rental housing in places that currently have very little.
